About

The Shurlock Row Project

Location: Reading

Project Overview

Set in the heart of Reading, The Shurlock Row Project beautifully balances classic elegance with modern practicality. Designed and project-managed by Sarah-Jane at Just A Little Build, this kitchen exemplifies timeless British craftsmanship — a serene and inviting space that functions seamlessly for everyday living.

Design Highlights

Premium appliances were chosen to complement both the performance and aesthetic of the design:

  • Samsung – advanced technology meets exceptional reliability.

  • Quooker – instant boiling water on demand, blending convenience with innovation.

  • BORA – an integrated cooktop and extraction system that keeps the space fresh and open.

Cabinetry and Finishes

The bespoke cabinetry is hand-painted in Farrow & Ball Cornforth White, Railing, and Hardwick White, creating a calm and sophisticated palette. Aged brass handles from Armac Martin bring warmth and subtle luxury, while the crisp quartz worktops enhance the feeling of light and space.

Space and Flow

The layout has been carefully considered to maximise storage and usability, with a generous island at its centre — perfect for entertaining or quiet family moments. Every element has been tailored for practicality without compromising on beauty.

A Lasting Impression

The Shurlock Project embodies the Willow Tree Interiors ethos — timeless design, meticulous craftsmanship, and an unwavering commitment to quality. A kitchen to be enjoyed and admired for generations to come.
